Aromatherapy for Clinical Settings

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils or pure plant extracts for therapeutic purposes.  Many essential oils naturally bring about a more relaxed state of mind, helping to manage physical pain and balance the emotions.  The link between decreased stress and improved healing in the body have been recognized and proven scientifically.  Because of this, the traditional medical community is seeing ancient traditions such as yoga, tai chi, acupuncture and aromatherapy as complimentary to modern medicine in controlled clinical settings.

Currently the essential oil industry is unregulated and therefore filled with manufacturers of synthetic, chemically filled or diluted plant extracts.  Some companies have certified their plant materials as organic, but truly Therapeutic Grade essential oils require even more thorough standards and testing to produce clinical results.  Inferior oils may also produce unpleasant side effects like nausea, headache and skin rashes.

Young Living Essential Oils is currently the only company in the world to verify sources of their oils and to test for the hundreds of constituents found in each essential oil that are necessary for a Therapeutic Grade.   Each  oil requires not only organic plant material, but the oil itself must contain very specific quantities of each constituent to be classified as therapeutic grade.  Young Living has also gone to the extent of getting most of their oils verified as Food Supplements by the FDA, something no other company has done.

Any essential oils used in a clinical setting should be of the highest, verifiable quality.  Young Living is the choice hospitals and doctors trust for use in clinical settings.
