Clove Essential Oil

Therapeutic Grade clove essential oil is distilled from the bud of the plant (Syzygium aromaticum). 

Inferior oils can be distilled from the stems and leaves.  The average nose  could not discern the difference between oils distilled from leaves and stems versus the clove bud.  The difference would be in the results the essential oil may or may not produce. 

Therapeutic grade clove essential oil is one of the most anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory oils.   Clove oil is also one of the most tested essential oils with consistent research showing it’s effectiveness in killing bacteria.  

Clove oil gets even better!  Therapeutic clove essential oil is anti-aging, anti-tumoral, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, analgesic, anti-coagulant, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic and anti-convulsant.  It kills MOLD!   This is a POWERFUL essential oil!  It is also a HOT oil and should always be diluted.

Because it is a powerful anti-microbial, it can be effective for relieving inflamed muscles and joints, intestinal parasites, infections and for pain management.  We have used clove oil for tooth pain, specifically from orthodontic and dental work.  To use clove essential oil for tooth pain, apply a drop to a cotton swab and add a drop of olive oil or V-6 oil.  Apply the oil soaked swab onto location or just above a tooth on the gum line.  This method may also bring relief to cold or canker sores inside the mouth.  The clove oil helps to decrease inflammation and kills bacteria that can lead to a toothache. Historically, clove has been used in dentistry as a numbing agent for decades.

Most Researched Essential Oil  Therapeutic grade Clove essential oil has been researched extensively and found to kill more than 60 types of bacteria, 15 strains of fungi and several viruses!  In several studies, clove was researched for effectiveness against candida infection and found results after 8 days of treatment almost equivalent to results compared to Nystatin.
