Eucalyptus radiata (Eucalyptus radiata) is one of 5 different Eucalyptus essential oils with therapeutic grade properties. All are from the botanical family Myrtaceae (myrtle) and steam distilled from the leaves.
The radiata species is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, an expectorant and anti-inflammatory. We have found it effective in supporting healthy lung function to ward off upper-respiratory, sinus and viral infections. It can also be used against Herpes simplex when combined with bergamot. (EDR).
The first commercial blend I used on my family was R..C., a blend for respiratory support that has many powerful essential oils including 3 different types of eucalyptus.
