Respiratory Support oil blend  is your natural Vick’s Vapor rub or Tiger Balm. Those over the counter combinations are made with petroleum products and most likely inferior essential oils including camphor. Camphor is not really classified as an essential oil from an aromatherapist’s perspective. It is cheap to produce when done with solvents (not what you wanwhich over the long term can cause organ toxicity. Not only that, camphor has been found to cause Coral Reefs to release viruses and may be some cause for dying reefs. There is no problem replacing camphor products and mixing up your own Respiratory Support blend is easy, it’s the first oil blend I used in my family.  I had been using health store brands for almost 12 years with less than significant results.  Since using this blend I have converted all my essential oils to Therapeutic Food- Grade essential oils that have been tested for purity because I have seen they produce consistent results.

This powerful blend of oils supports healthy lung function.  It contains Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus radiata, Eucalyptus citriodora, myrtle, pine, spruce, marjoram, lavender, cypress and peppermint.

Eucalyptus essential oils can be too strong for children under 4 so make sure to dilute for the little ones, just apply it to their feet or use something more gentle like Frankincense (Boswellia carterii or Boswellia Sacra), both of which are safe for infants if it is not adultered with chemical fillers. I only use essential oils that have been tested for purity and potency.

 essential oils for cough

Dilute your eucalyptus blend 1 part EO to 1 part vegetable oil and apply to chest, throat, sinus area or Vita-Flex Reflexology points.  This blend may be soothing when diffused or inhaled. For inhalation, place 1-2 drops in a bowl of warm (not boiling) water.  Also effective when used in the Raindrp application.  Apply the oils when you start to feel run down to support healthy immune function.

One Response to Respiratory Support Essential Oil Blend

Thanks for giving our family Respiratory Congestion blend a year ago. We have used it and enjoyed the results. We’ve noticed this especially for our son, Marcos. When he gets a cold it tends to move to his chest. I used the Respiratory blend on his feet and tried it on his chest. Even on his feet, it worked really well. On his chest, I discovered that I needed to dilute the Respiratory blend because it was a bit strong for him. For me, as an adult with medium skin tone, I am fine with putting a small amount on my chest.
Respiratory blend has helped to curb some of Marcos’ infections. You are right about applying it on as soon as you see the symptoms begin. We noticed if we waited too long to use the Respiratory blend, his cold can settle into an infection that then needs an antibiotic. Thanks again for the information, the Respiratory blend, and for introducing us to high quality essential oil products. We appreciate you and all of your love and support. 🙂
